How I Evaluate Travel Resources

At The Sea Seeker, I regularly research travel platforms, tools, and services to help travelers explore options beyond traditional booking methods. Some of the resources shared on this site are informational in nature and may not have been personally used by me or by my clients.

This page explains how I decide what to feature, and just as importantly, what my role is and is not when sharing third-party resources.

What I Look For

When evaluating travel resources, I prioritize platforms that demonstrate clarity, transparency, and traveler control. This typically includes:

  • Clear explanations of how the platform or service works

  • Transparency around pricing, inclusions, and cancellation terms

  • Publicly available reviews or user feedback

  • The ability for travelers to review details before booking

  • Options for travelers to ask questions or request clarification directly

Resources shared here are presented for consideration, not as a directive to book.

What I Don’t Do

To be clear about boundaries:

  • I do not guarantee safety, quality, or outcomes

  • I do not certify, vet, or endorse individual service providers

  • I do not control third-party platforms, policies, pricing, or experiences

  • I do not manage bookings made directly through external sites

Travel platforms and providers may change terms, availability, or pricing at any time. Travelers are responsible for reviewing current details and deciding what aligns with their comfort level and travel style.

Affiliate Relationships & Transparency

Some resources shared on this site are affiliate partners. This means I may earn a commission if you book or purchase through my links—at no additional cost to you.

Affiliate relationships do not influence pricing and do not create a client-advisor relationship unless you have formally engaged my services through a travel planning agreement.

My goal is simple: to share information, not assurances—so travelers can explore options thoughtfully and make informed decisions for themselves.
