Welcome to the Archive

Before The Sea Seeker set sail as a cruise-focused brand, we shared stories from road trips, RV camping, city cycling, cultural adventures, and beyond. REAL ID Deadline Passed: What Travelers Need to Know Now

As of May 7, 2025, the REAL ID deadline is officially in effect across the U.S.—and travelers need to be ready. If your driver’s license doesn’t have the REAL ID star, you may not be able to fly domestically without an alternative TSA-approved ID such as a passport, Global Entry card, or Enhanced Driver’s License. While DHS has stated travelers won’t be turned away right away, expect longer wait times and possible extra screening.

In this blog post, we break down everything: what REAL ID is, how to find out if you’re compliant, what documents TSA accepts, and how to get your REAL ID before your next trip.

Stay ready. Stay flying.
